I have just received the sad news that another old friend has passed over.
Mick Green was one of the pioneers of the British rock-music biz. The first time we met was way back in the late 50's early 60's. He first became famous for his legendary stint with Johnny Kidd and the Pirates and then later in his own right. A very fine musician and guitarist who was idolised by guitar players young and old
I worked with Mick on a couple of occasions the longest was a summer season in Great Yarmouth in 1969. I was playing with the Lonnie Donegan Group and Mick was in the Englebert Humperdinck Band. He was always the professional, always a gentlemen and I am proud to say that I knew him.
My sincere condolences go to his wife and children at what must be a very sad time.
